Governors & Trustees

Our Governors play a vital role in shaping the Foundation's direction and ensuring its ongoing success. Working in partnership with the CEO, SLT and staff, they help to maintain the Foundations effectiveness and drive its operational and strategic development.

Being a Governor requires commitment, collaboration and a readiness to share responsibility. Our Governors contribute to key decision-making, support activities and help ensure strong leadership, clear purpose and effective communication across the Foundation. Through their dedication, they help create a positive, supportive and aspirational environment for everyone.

Governors also periodically review our policies to ensure compliance with legal requirements and best practice, and undertake monitoring visits to ensure quality improvement.

Our Trustees provide strategic leadership and oversight across all areas of the Foundation. They shape our long‑term vision and direction, ensuring that our goals reflect the needs of the communities we serve.

Committed to excellence, they uphold high standards while placing the wellbeing of both staff and students at the heart of their decision‑making.

They also take responsibility for financial stewardship, approving the Foundation’s budget and closely monitoring performance to ensure resources are used effectively and responsibly.

They work closely with the CEO away from the Foundation bi-annually and undertake regular visits to the Foundation to ensure a high-quality environment for all.
